Survey #3 - What is your preference for book covers in contemporary romance?
Your engagement is truly the heartbeat of this community, and I'm grateful for the 50 of you who shared your thoughts on contemporary romance book covers.
The focus of this survey was on your preferences for book covers, and the responses were not only illuminating but also invaluable. A resounding 64% of you, represented by 32 subscribers, expressed a strong inclination towards book covers that feature both male and female elements. This preference indicates a collective appreciation for the balance and inclusivity conveyed by covers that capture the essence of both protagonists, setting the stage for multifaceted romantic narratives.
Close behind, 30% of respondents, or 15 subscribers, favored covers spotlighting the male character. This insight provides valuable guidance as I curate visuals that resonate with those who find a particular allure in the male protagonists of contemporary romance tales.
In contrast, a thoughtful 2% of respondents, or 1 subscriber, preferred covers showcasing the female character. This nuanced preference is duly noted, and I'm committed to ensuring a variety of cover designs that appeal to the diverse tastes within our community.
Interestingly, 4% of respondents, equivalent to 2 subscribers, fell into the "Other" category. One subscriber emphasized a preference for covers featuring 'real people, not stupid drawings,' while another specified an affinity for covers that embody 'art or those just vibes ones.' These insights provide a rich landscape for creative exploration and will undoubtedly influence the visual direction of my upcoming releases.
I extend my sincere gratitude to each of you who took the time to contribute to this survey. Your feedback is instrumental in shaping not only the aesthetics of my books but also the overall reading experience for this community.
Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for being an integral part of this wonderful journey.
